Story Behind the Song
One day I sat at my piano and this song poured out. It felt like a download from a beautiful source of wisdom, and I was taking notes. I was imaging what would happen if everything went well in our future instead of the doom prediction and negative projections we are used to. I imagined what would happen if we watched the stars in the sky descend on us and show us what/who they are. What would we do if light beings came to earth to help us?
Seeing stars coming down to meet us would be a sight for very sore eyes. I imagined standing in a field of mud watching the stars descend like fireworks. This shower of stars would be interpreted many ways. For some of us, we would be afraid of this incredible sight because we have been hurt so many times before. We would be sceptical and close our eyes and hands to receiving these stars. We wouldn’t know what is happening so we might expect the worst because of our programming for distrust and fear. Not all of us though. There would be a few curious people who would be open and curious.
As the stars greeted us with their brilliant light and song, I was imagining the children being the first to investigate. They would have the courage and even the trust. The children are referred to in the song as our “diamonds on the battlefield”. The children lead us into change. As we see the stars dance around them, we would suddenly remember the qualities and moments of our humanity that are filled beauty, magnificence, and love. I imageine that we could leave pain, war, loss, grief and unworthiness behind.
The stars would change us if we allowed the possibility of receiving their love and kindness. Of course, It is hard to resist the idea that the other shoe might drop. It seems we are conditioned for doom, fear and suffering. For now, I imagine a new story that almost seems impossible to dream given the backdrop of wars, huge militaries, and trillions of dollars spend on fighting for power and wealth. I am daring to dream.
I experienced part of this vision while I was in Edinburgh in the summer seeing the military tattoo at the castle. I felt filled with possibility of sound, light, love, and beauty coming to our world and helping us change it. What would our world be like if we had clean water, enough food, community, and kindness as the standard of presence. This Celtic song nods to my heritage and the love for freedom. The military drumming and bagpipe solo in the song reminds us of a new campaign for love and hope, not war and strife.
Clearly, I am a dreamer. I know what I don’t want, and I am longing for a new way and a different future. This future would be a golden age of higher consciousness on this planet. The divine feminine would be in balance with the divine masculine -- yin and yang. This is my artist’s manifesto. It is my “Imagine”. Since I am starting to use my voice more in the world, I wanted to acknowledge a future of receiving higher frequency beings on earth helping us heal the planet and rework the ways we see our future possibilities.
